Review: StriVectin Instant Revitalizing Mask

Before I was a freelance makeup artist, I worked at the cosmetic counter in Macy’s and I found myself near the StriVectin display a lot. It interested me because the packaging looks serious, like you should be picking it up as a prescription at the doctor’s office. Their products are also pretty expensive and I since I worked on commission, I was always really excited when someone needed something from the line 😉 .  Fast forward 7 years, and I recently received an email from the company offering to let me test their newest product, the Strivectin Instant Revitalizing Mask. It felt like a small life accomplishment (haha) to finally be able to try out this brand that intrigued me during my years behind the makeup counters.

Strivectin Instant Revitalizing Mask Review

StriVectin’s Instant Revitalizing Mask is a 15 minute facial mask which uses AHAs and skin brighteners to give radiance and illumination to dull skin. It also includes Strivectin’s patented NIA-114 which is delivered from Niacin and helps to stimulate the repair of DNA, promote cell turnover and even skintone.

First Impressions

I have found myself reaching for Strivectin’s Instant Revitalizing Mask a lot lately. I’ve used it weekly for the past month or so and I really like having it as an option. It has a fresh scent, with a hint of floral,  but the smell is very subtle. On my first application I was a little skeptical because the mask goes on extremely thin; it felt like I didn’t have anything on, so I was questioning whether or not it was working. I usually wear thick masks that dry up and eliminate all facial mobility so I will also admit that it was nice wearing a mask that I didn’t remember I had on. It doesn’t pull or crack so you can go about your business until it’s time to wash it off. Strivectin Mask Review

When I washed off StriVectin’s Instant Revitalizing Mask, I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth my skin was. It does exactly what it claims and adds brightness to your complexion. I’ve only been testing this for a month and while I do think my skin is a little more even overall, I notice greatest results 24 hours after use.

For this reason, Strivectin’s Instant Revitalizing Mask is perfect to use before a special occasion or if you know you’re to be going out. It’s one more step in your skin prep/makeup routine but it’s worth it to add extra brightness and glow to your skin.

Is it Worth the Money?

The Strivectin Instant Revitalizing Mask is super expensive for a mask. While I liked it, I don’t think it’s worth $62. If you can easily afford it, it’s a good one to add to your mask collection but if not there are other options out there. When I run out, I will not re-purchase.

Will it be Going in my Kit?

I don’t typically use masks in my kit however, I would consider applying it in certain situations though if the skin needed extra prepping. For now I’ll be keeping it for myself.

No. Their website says they do not test on animals but their products are sold in China and China’s laws indicate that animal testing is required.
